With over 2 million searches completed, DataTrace unveils how TitleIQ's latest AI-powered innovations are redefining speed, accuracy, and efficiency in the title industry.
In a recent webinar, DataTrace chronicled the evolution and innovations behind TitleIQ Search Automation, giving title professionals a front-row seat to the advancements redefining modern title production. As the title industry becomes more competitive and more tech-driven, solutions like TitleIQ are helping teams work faster and smarter.
With more than a decade in the market and more than 2 million automated searches completed TitleIQ continues to push the boundaries of efficiency, coverage and intelligent automation.
The Journey from Manual to Machine-Driven
The webinar kicked off with a look back at the evolution of title search, noting that TitleIQ was developed as a response to less efficient, highly manual title processes that used to be the norm. Before TitleIQ, the title search process required trips to county courthouses, managing disconnected data sources, re-keying information and juggling cumbersome county-specific workflows.
Seeing an opportunity for improvement, DataTrace developed TitleIQ as a solution to streamline and standardize title search processes. What began with coverage in only about 20 to 30 counties has now grown to more than 800 counties nationwide, offering search results in under 10 minutes with consistent, accurate and scalable output.
“Speed and accuracy aren’t just extra advantages anymore—they’re expected,” said Kim Armstrong, Vice President of Product Strategy. “With TitleIQ, we’re going beyond the standard to deliver efficiencies with time, cost and human resources.”
What’s New: Streamlined Products & Enhanced Name Search
Earlier this year, DataTrace announced it had added two new search solutions within the TIQ product offerings: Streamline and Streamline 180. Streamline is a fully automated search solution that can search back to the original title plant’s start date for comprehensive updates. Streamline 180 returns records from the past 180 days for more recent transactions. Both new enhancements search title records by property address and owner name and receive results in a consolidated report back in minutes.
Also announced this year was the Enhanced Name Search capability—a major upgrade to how names are searched across systems. With smarter matching logic, including “contains” logic and name matching percentages, this feature:
- Reduces missed documents due to typos or naming variations
- Supports searches for individuals, businesses and trusts
- Improves accuracy without increasing manual effort
“More results don’t mean more work,” Kim Armstrong assured. “It means fewer missed records and lower risks.”
Why ML + AI Matter: The Engine Behind Automation
The webinar went on to offer a compelling look at the evolution of title data and the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in the title search ecosystem.
“Data is the fuel for the curative function of title,” emphasized Eric Bauer, Product Leader. “Our AI technology automates indexing, validation and extraction to support intelligent decision-making.”
Today’s AI-powered platforms, allow DataTrace to:
- Automate complex title plant building processes
- Intelligently extract, validate and index title
- Standardize document types and naming conventions across geographies
- Expand coverage quickly and uniformly
- Deliver consistent, simplified access to large volumes of title data
Real Impact: From Days to Minutes
The final portion of the event focused on a look at the real-world transformation happening in title offices, thanks to TitleIQ. What once was a multi-step, multi-day process involving screeners, searchers, examiners, typists and proofers that heavily relied on printed documents can now be done in minutes through automation and title production system integrations.
“This is a head start, not a lights-out solution,” explained Erica Larson, Manager of Product and Strategy. “But in 80% of cases, TitleIQ eliminates most of the manual effort, letting staff focus on high-impact tasks.”
The platform integrates seamlessly with leading production systems like SoftPro, Qualia, RamQuest, ResWare and others through the DataTrace Digital Gateway (DDG).
Looking Ahead: A Future Driven by Data
With continued investments in geo-expansion into more counties, streamlined automation tools and enhanced data processing through AI and ML, DataTrace is setting the stage for a more connected, efficient and scalable title search experience.
