With more than 20 years of experience in the property information and database industry, Robert Karraa has led the Data Trace team through continuous growth and new product innovations. Robert began his career with TRTS Data Services, which was later acquired by First American Financial Corporation. Prior to accepting his position as president of Data Trace, Robert was the vice president of sales and service for First American CoreLogic. During his tenure with First American, Robert has managed all areas of the company including operations, processing, database management and sales. He also managed multiple acquisitions, customer conversion processes and the launch of international operations. Robert holds a bachelor's degree in business from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Robert is a member of the American Land Title Association and the Mortgage Bankers Association.
A seasoned product professional with extensive experience in setting strategic direction and a successful track record of delivering high quality business and financial solutions, Jim Portner determines overall product strategic direction at Data Trace. Jim brings a wealth of experience to his current role having spent more than 25 years providing product leadership to several large organizations, including executive positions at Intuit, Sage Software, ADP, CoreLogic and Interthinx. He possesses a broad understanding of customer needs as well as the knowledge and expertise necessary to deliver products and services that meet and exceed those needs. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business finance from California State University, Long Beach; a Masters of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from Emory University.
Brian Fluhr is an entrepreneurial, customer and data driven marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience delivering results, applying strategic marketing solutions and accelerating product growth. Brian has been a marketing professional his entire career, constantly perfecting his marketing art and science with companies that include: CoreLogic, Canon and Toshiba. Mark joined Data Trace in 2010 and has more than 20 years of diverse sales management experience in the financial services and consumer packaged goods industries. Mark is responsible for all aspects of sales for Data Trace, including the management of existing business and gaining new customers through a team of sales managers across the U.S. Mark’s strengths include strategic planning and execution, financial management, building high performing work teams, fostering collaborative internal relationships and external customer partnerships. Mark graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Calvin is a seasoned information technology professional who has held CIO and CTO positions within multiple financial institutions. With more than 25 years of experience in this field, his focus has been on productivity opportunities, process improvements and delivering best-in-class technology solutions. Calvin manages the architecture and operation of the Data Trace databases and spearheads the company’s enterprise software development initiatives. He has had extensive success in cultivating talent and leading technological teams to achieve aggressive growth and profitability goals, and has developed solutions that have resulted in significant process improvements and cost reduction. Prior to joining Data Trace, Calvin held IT leadership positions at loanDepot.com, Grander Financial, Think Mortgage and LendingTree Loans.
Gwen Sorensen has more than 20 years of experience in technology and computer-related industries. As vice president of client services, Gwen plays a key role in understanding customer needs and has a nationwide responsibility for Data Trace’s client service strategy. Gwen is responsible for the entire client relationship experience, including leading outreach and positioning activities, user education and training, quality assurance, and the daily service and management of Data Trace’s diverse customer base. She joined Data Trace in 1993 and has held a variety of roles in the areas of title account management and marketing and product management. Prior to joining Data Trace, Gwen held sales and marketing management positions at Talaris Systems and Handyman Inc.
With more than 25 years of experience within the First American family of companies, Adam has experience in multiple leadership functions including branch operations, regional operations, international management, sales, product solutions and database development. As vice president of operations, Adam is responsible for the creation of value-added data for inclusion into Data Trace’s real estate information databases. He also leads the geographic expansion efforts of the company’s data services. Adam majored in business management at the University of Phoenix.
